I use the surgical mask Costco gave me in April. But I cut 9 1/4” slots in it so I can breathe. The elastic bands keep coming off so I have to staple them back on.

It looks pretty disgusting now, but nobody says anything. I only wear it when I positively, absolutely have to wear a mask - when employees chase me down in the store - which is unbelievably rare.

I notice the N95 mask pictured in the chart has a valve. Probably an oversight by their graphics guy.

IMO the effectiveness numbers in this piece are too optimistic.
