Just curious why you’re holding on to it (HCQ) and not taking it weekly, prophylactically.

I used 500mg of Quercetin and 50mg of zinc thru the whole ordeal. Prior to contracting it, I was using 500mg of Quercetin and 30mg of zinc on a daily basis as a prophylactic. I was also on a pretty strong vitamin C and D regimen prior to contracting it. 3000IU of C and 5000IU of D3 along with K2.

According to the FDA, there was a shortage 03/31/2020 - 06/26/2020, but supply caught up, and there has been a surplus for over four months now. (Source.)

No one will be harmed if we use HCQ to save people from COVID.

As someone has previously mentioned, you can get a prescription for HCQ by using the online doctor service at speakwithanmd.com.

At my urologist's suggestion, I've taken 500mg Quercetin as needed for prostate issues (prostatitis not BPH) No zinc though.
I think I'll start taking the Q daily until this Covid krap is over. Thx ...

Below is a comparison of various Zinc Ionophores (from this study), comparing their ability to deliver Zinc through a cell membrane into a cell, where the Zinc can keep viruses from multiplying.

• QCT100 is quercetin at a concentration of 100 μM.
• EGCG100 is EGCG (a common green tea extract) at a concentration of 100 μM.
• CQ100 is clioquinol (an antifungal drug also used for prostate cancer) at a concentration of 100 μM.
• The dark bars are when Zinc was dosed at the same time an the ionophore at a concentration of 50 μM.
• The light bars are when no Zinc was given (but there would be some naturally occurring Zinc in the patient's body).

I do not know how these 100 μM concentrations translate to milligram dosage or how these results would compare to HCQ. Regular Quercetin is poorly absorbed, but there are versions with enhanced bioavailability that might perform as well as the clioquinol.
