New leaders? As soon as POTUS Trump is sworn in for his second term on January 20 2021, and the dust settles for the other positions without the election fraud, it will be pedal to the metal time.
It’s clear now, and I just knew it for years, that the reason most demshevik states got that way was because of election fraud. That has now come to an end, Trump and his people have exposed the entire rotten carcass.
People should carefully read his Sept. 12 2018 Executive Order about foreign interference in elections, then when more stuff starts happening they’ll know why. Here is the whole EO and at the bottom is posted US codes on treason, insurrection and sedition for bonus points.

The question is: what is the tripwire for the counter-coup. Right now there is no standing armed conspirators.. they too are using the levers of government to overthrow the popular vote

I also understand that the military brass is not on our side and neither is the DOJ and all of the other alphabet bureaus, so it’s unlikely Trump will be able to effectively enforce his order. I fear it is now up to the people to finish Trump’s work and past time for all of us to prepare to get dirty.

Like so many such documents...up to and including provisions of the Constitution, this is a dead letter. Words on a piece of paper. There is no power to enforce them, indeed no entity that will enforce them.
You get to a point in affairs where only the barrel of a gun, millions of guns, and using them for their intended purpose on tens of thousands of your enemies is going to achieve your goals.
In a nation governed by cowards and thieves, courts and lawyers and legislators and public knowledge and opinion are not going to achieve your security. Only force of arms and blood on the streets will achieve that.

You’re correct that any sane person should desire to avoid a violent war. It’s the last thing I want too. However, even a cursory study of history shows the alternative is far more brutal, bloody, and inhumane than a revolution. Over 100 million and counting deaths, many via torture, mutilation, gang rape, etc., litter Socialism’s timeline. Are we going to repeat history yet again and add the former USA to the pages of Socialist brutality, or are we going to rise up and defy it? That is the choice we all have to make and live with now.
The tripwire for the counter coup is stealing an election. It does not matter that they are not armed and out in the streets. They have chosen a governmental power route to execute the coup.

Any SERE experience tells you that the best time to escape is immediately after capture. The deeper we go into the coup government, the weaker our powers to resist become.

IF enough of the military brass and DOJ were not on our side, President Trump would have already been removed from office.
Note that the FBI probably still has too many traitors in it so they are not being tasked with investigating the election theft, but Sidney Powell and Trump’s campaign are getting it done.
Not true at all. The military has no legal precedence to remove a rightfully sitting president. Now if the military brass were to commit a coup of their own, then things would be different, however they have demonstrated no such desire.

That EO and Constitution underpin the efforts the Trump administration have prepared to return America to We The People. If the courts can’t function (pressure/infiltraton) the President will use the military to support the inssurrection act.
We have to do all that we can to publicly resist this coup to reduce the the need for Martial Law and possible risks of casualties and False Flags before the insurrection can be put down.
