I wonder what their contracts say about such matters, and whether they have options to quit if programming messages are forced upon them?
Hard to believe Fox is being cowed by this threat. By that I mean, it is hard to believe they have not performed the calculus of regaining the value of their lost viewership against the risk of this suit.

I saw that Smartmatic infomercial and now I know why.
FOX was threatened with a lawsuit and they thought it better to give in than fight.

If Dobbs had actual evidence, he could have stood up to them. Fox has a much stronger financial position than Smartmatic, and can afford the legal battle. But if you call them out for criminal activity on television, you have to be prepared to show proof. Instead, Dobbs was forced to “debunk” his own story.
I might add Smartmatic has been a bit player in this whole fiasco.

I guess Dobbs (and his producers and lawyers who are supposed to protect Dobbs) screwed up big time accusing a company without proper proof. And now they all have to pay the embarrassing price.

I suspect this gave them the opportunity to cut the ground from under those who are trying to help the president.
In other words they welcomed it as an opportunity to hit directly at Trump without showing their hand to the deplorables.
