ummm no. FRAUD cost him the election
I thought Trump should have terminated an entire department 10 to 50 thousand useless government leeches , I don’t care which one just to have sent a strong message sending power back to states or whatever. Outside the box. I think he had the mandate to do something like that if he had in first week and it would have been a super strong move to go from there. But rinos and mcmaster particularly cleansed most of political outsiders in quick order.
Election fraud? What is that? YEAH RIGHT Wappo is zappo... More “passengers” for reeducation at GITMO
“Instead, he dithered, and Biden is now president.”
So you are claiming Biden won the election without election fraud?
Trust the plan. Trump is exactly where he wants to be for the next phase of the plan. Doomers go home.
Trump foolishly thought McConnell and Ryan were in his side. They played him for two years and then Ryan orchestrated a manufactured loss of the house to the Dems. Yes, manufactured. A bunch of safe seats were simply conceded through unexpected early retirements. Others were via mailed in campaigns. The coming “blue wave” was nowhere near what the press lied about it being and it would have been a competitive election if not for they GOP wanting to stop taking heat for blocking Trump and turning it over to the Dems so they could do it for them.
Anyway any illusion that the Congress could be an ally was dead after that and he set out to do it alone. Do it better than Ryan or McConnell would have let him, frankly.
” think Trump would have been better situated if he really had eliminated DACA on day one and required wall funding in exchange for the tax cut legislation Paul Ryan wanted. “
He did both. The courts stopped his DACA efforts and the Supreme Court found that Trump had to give a compelling reason to kill Obama’s illegal executive order. They did not accept his reason.
He did require funding for Ryans legislation, and he shut down the Government with the full support of all the GOP who wailed that the military was back to broomstick rifles and children would starve.
And the entire time he was under a threat of instant Ryan, Graham and McConnell impeachment and treated like a criminal. He realistically had about 40% of the power a President normally gets.
And don’t forget, his entire White House staff was utterly filled with leaking spies. That neutralized his ability to devise strategies and negotiation paths. Congress and the blob knew his plans 10 minutes after he gamed them out. He was basically a coach sending in plays on a radio the opposition was listening to.
but this is the narrative....only PT won big
Glenn Beck had one of his usual Senators, either Mike Lee or Jim Jordan, on his show. The Senator said that it was almost impossible to fire bureaucrats, as they are so well protected under federal law.
I’m thinking that Trump did look at the idea, in his desire to cut down the size of the government and he found that it couldn’t be done, especially with an uncooperative Congress.
First off, President Trump did not lose the election. That is a false premise to begin with. He won it fair and square and the democRATS stole it from him through massive election fraud in the battleground states by cheating. There's a difference.
And secondly, for the sake of argument, if President Trump did "lose" because of his "weak" pandemic response, why did Biden plagiarize Trump's response almost exactly, with the exception of adding more federal bureaucracy tasked with accomplishing the very same work as Trump's Coronavirus Task Force did? In other words, he did the same thing Trump did.
More biased, fake news from the Washington Compost, where we have learned to expect nothing better.
Obama 65 million votes (most ever)
Wins 829 counties
Wins Ohio and Florida
Trump 75 million votes
Win 2500 counties
Wins Ohio and Florida
Biden 81 million votes
Wins 425 counties
Loses Ohio and Florida
Biden will forever be known as The First American FAKE Pres.Wonder why he needs military to guard him!No need to answer
Politico also had an article on the report...
I think Mr. Trump did a good job handling Covid problem...But, I do believe that many voters did not think that way...
Yes, media did not cover Mr. Trump fairly...But, I would not blame the media 100%...The economy began to suffer because of Covid restrictions...People were unhappy about that...Many of them blamed President Trump...They needed a scapegoat...I do believe that those people voted for Joe Biden...Incumbent usually gets blamed for bad economy...
What if there were no Covid problem? I believe that he would have won easily...
The report states that Mr. Trump lost support among white voters...Especially white men...
*facepalm*
My understanding is that in Arizona, the non-stop coverage of Trump failing to handle covid caused him to lose support amongst the senior crowd.
However, overall, any loss of support came from suburban moms.
Joseph Stolen did nothing about the pandemic to date, other than repeatedly sneezing over his mask into his hand and wiping it on the podium.
I think Trump hurt himself by his briefing appearances on coronavirus early on. I think the actual decisions he made were better than most.
The impression was that Trump was not taking it seriously enough.
Compare to Cuomo, whose decisions were probably the single most disastrous of any leader in America.
But Cuomo adopted a serious mien, with exaggerated obedience toward “science”, and that was sufficient.
When it became clear that the USA was not headed toward Northern Italy, and that corona was not going to end life on earth, then Trump’s anti-lockdown helped him
But I think the early impression still lingered.
Trump weakened himself enough that the steal was possible.
And even if he did something that the press now considers correct, like restricting foreign travel because Biden is in office, suddenly it was xenophobic and racist when Trump did the exact same thing.
Surprised more don’t see that for what it is.
The only "issue" Trump lost on was 5 million unverifiable mail-in ballots.
