I’m using Quercetin and the horse paste and a “Immune Health” supplement with C, D and Zinc (along with some others that make it a “targeted” multivitamin) - had to order more Zinc on line because all the local stores are out - and Zicam is an expensive Zinc source....

I have been reading/appreciating your thoughts, experiences and suggestions for months now. I have a question about vaccinations (and I apologize if you have addressed this 20 times already!).

My mother-in-law was dx with covid in mid-Dec. Age 74, she had a few days of mild symptoms but nothing major. No tx aside from vitamins and rest. She recently had labs run for sars antibodies, which resulted Tuesday with positive antibodies.

She is being told to still get the vaccine but is terrified as she has heard stories of people who have already had covid having a terrible time with the vax. She lives alone now as my father-in-law passed away 12/28.

What are your thoughts? I suggested she hold off on vaccine for now as she definitely has positive antibodies and could delay a few months.

Would it make sense for her to recheck antibodies in a few months and if still a healthy positive, postpone vax again?

Again, thank you for your insight and willingness to keep going on these threads (some have been doozies!).

We are always able to find our favorite Zinc, online.

The stores sell the cheap stuff, for the most part.

Why not get an Rx for the Ivermectin, rather than the paste?

Just curious.

And, isn’t taking the Quercetin AND the Ivermectin doubling up/even necessary?

Not sure what the thought/s are about taking Quercetin in combination with the Ivermectin or the HCQ (prophylactically).

Gas_dr,

I have the same question as ZinGirl.

What about someone who has had the covid, is it safe for them to get the vaccine?

Different postulated mechanisms of action for HCQ/Quercetin/EGCG + zinc and Ivermectin. Fighting the virus in different ways is my rationale for possibly using both approaches.

I’m not taking Ivermectin now but I will if I come down with COVID.

I do take Quercetin, EGCG, and zinc daily(along with several other supplements.) Don’t know if it’s going to help with COVID, but I figure it’s not going to harm me. Not so sure about taking Ivermectin long-term.

“Not so sure about taking Ivermectin long-term.”

At least you won’t have worms. (Sorry, old Veterinary technician couldn’t resist :)

Wonderful news! As I wrote in another thread, the Eli Lily infusion saved the life an elder relative last month. The instant reversal of symptoms must be viewed with the same awe of physicians and nurses watching the effect of penicillin on hospitalized pneumonia patients.

Thanx for that...

messenger RNA vaccine development has been going on for 3 decades. Seems like mostly for cancer treatments?

begs some questions.
How and when did we get from nowhere to mRNA?
Should the COVID team have known about this? Fauci\Birx\Hahn?

Haven’t found/heard of a doctor in the area who will prescribe Ivermectin as a prophylactic.
From what I’ve been able to determine, the ivermectin in the paste is the same chemical as in the pills for humans but, “there may be relaxed standards of purity and it may be harder to dial in the correct dose”

No studies on using drugs packaged for animals on humans so all medical authorities have no choice but to warn against it.

From what I gather, the Quercetin is a blood thinner and also supposedly helps with respiratory system - probable intent is to help prevent blood clots if one catches the bug - but, as with all blood thinners, one must be sure there are no other issues where it could cause problems and also not take extra “for good measure”.

I haven’t had any of the “down-side+ symptoms ... yet ... and expect to not take it for more than one more dose in 4 weeks as I wait for the Johnson and Johnson vaccine (which I prefer because it is “old technology” with a much longer track record than the mRNA vaccines of which the 2 out there are the first-ever approved for use as vaccines) to hopefully become available.

I think there are teledocs who will prescribe it.

But, if you’re going to get the J&J vax, then....no need, I guess.
