Alice is a good dude. Look up his interview on his friend Glen Campbell’s death on youtube sometime.

The town is more than half empty. Fill it full of illegals and make it the capitol of salsa music.

I'm a long-time fan (as are others who are more rabid...). I literally have nothing bad to say about the man. He's a rocker, a legend, VERY creative, he's clean, very smart, and utterly transparent.
I'd rather have Alice as the Spokesman for Right-Leaning musicians than Uncle Ted, the latter of whom, at times, makes me cringe and has a nasty past vs Alice.

Alice & Glen were golfing pals to the very end.

From Detroit came some amazing talent...and can’t forget The Motor City MOTOWN WOW.
British invasion was awesome too. I even enjoyed the surf music out west and the east & west coast rappers...the jazz...the classics...the...ALL enjoyable...around the world...even the throat singers.

From what I understand he makes himself available 24/7 for other musicians that want to get clean off drugs.

I would have sworn I saw Mr. Cooper at an old Irish Pub called Lis Doon Varna (Now closed and the glorious building now demolished.) I would have said "Hello" but it looked like he was enjoying some friends and I didn't want to be intrusive. Plus we had been drinking several superb Whiskey Sours made from scratch and better judgement won out.

Another small but influential diskery in Detroit was Lu Pine Records, home of the
Primettes, better known as the Supremes, the
Falcons, featuring lead singer Wilson Pickett, and the
Minor Chords.
