Oh, and meanwhile there was a big wreck in LA involving a couple of cars worth about $150k apiece. Racing may have been a factor. Injuries, ejections and a burned Ford GT. No word on deaths yet as of last report I saw.
Californians bein’ wild these days.

Probably wasn’t a local. Locals at Rincon don’t like LA county interlopers. The popularity of Rincon has turned the once relaxed surfing legend into an overcrowded mess. But that’s been going on for a long time. The last time I surfed Rincon was in the 90’s and even then it was dangerous as hell in the winter swell. I left the water in less than an hour. The younger generation of surfers seem to possess a strong Kamikaze streak.

I had a pal water skiing upriver on the Pearl north of Jackson Mississippi in the 80s
A robust guy built like JJ Watt or Bronkowski
A guy on a jet ski hit him and it killed the other guy
