(1) If this were fake, they would have Biden say something much more interesting / profound than being harangued about the border crisis.
(2) The mic appears in front of his body but behind his hand. I agree it looks odd, but quick-and-easy green screens don’t work that way — they have a background and foreground, not a “in front of some things but behind other things”.
(3) A professional absolutely could composite a fake scene this way. But if it were professionally done we wouldn’t be discussing how amateurish it looks like.
The fake video is supposed to be “proof of life,” that he is functioning when he is in fact not.
I don’t think he was leaving any footprints in the grass either.
The point of the exercise is not the question or the answer. The point is trotting out the plastic blow-up doll fake weekend at Bernie's president to show he's a.) capable of walking, b.) able to answer questions, and c.) willing to take questions from the 'press' in a live format.

At least for BidAn, it is a deception tool. However, there is an endpoint - at which the tool has performed and then completed its intended function.
