I’m glad that it isn’t like that Hawaiian volcano eruption a couple of years back. More farmland.
There’s other factors to consider. Primarily the total amount of ash and SO2 emitted over time. IIRC, some of these Icelandic volcanoes erupt for a very long time. I’ve been watching the live feed and the fissures seem to be growing?

That's not true. There is nothing that Gaia likes better than crispy virgins, and here we have an active volcano waiting to cook them.
For every surface volcano, there are many more below the ocean. Might they warm the oceans, causing the oceans to give up CO2 and increase atmospheric moisture? Increased atmospheric moisture in conjunction with increased SO2 and lower output from the sun may cause the earth to enter another ice age in our day.
Maybe rising CO2 levels are simply indicators of earth climate cycle changes we have no control over.
