Never tried RC but we love Holland America. Been cruising with them for over 20 years (and my father too for years before that). Outstanding value IMO.

Bahamas may not be as bad as sailing from Montego Bay in Jamaica. My first cruise back in 1988 was from Jamaica, and never again will sail from there. No problem maan! Although the cruise itself was very good.
If they are “americas cruise line” maybe they should be flying the american flag. It’s funny that they flag their ships in the bahamas and panama instead of the USA. Maybe if they get into trouble they should call the panamanian navy for help.

Suddenly this week Im on the inaugural/maiden voyage for the Mardi Gras again for the 3rd time... Aug 14...because its going out of Port C and only Galveston and Miami will be used during July...Horizon, Breeze, Vista...
Last year Carnival was only going to use Miami and Port C for Nov and Dec to start when cruising started again in Nov...Oct was cancelled in August...
Then on Oct 1st Nov and Dec was cancelled except for Miami and Port C ......(starting small etc)
Then a couple of weeks later those few Nov/Dec cruises were cancelled (didnt have any so I dont have the actual date)
Then on Nov 18th all Jan cruises were cancelled...and the cruises from most of the ports were cancelled through to Feb 28th...
On Jan 6th every cruise to March 31st was cancelled and some ships were cancelled through April...
On Jan 22nd April was gone and Mardi Gras sailings to the end of May...
May was cancelled sometime later...
On April 6th all cruises in June were cancelled...
Now in July only those 3 ships from Miami and Galveston...and we know how that sort of thing ended 6 months ago...

Same here. And I also have no interest in being a guinea pig for an experimental vaccine. There's plenty to see and do in the US. I've been to about 45 different countries, so I've had my fill of travel outside the US.
I’m not so sure if I want anyone vaccinated near me.
the vaccine creates anti-bodies and thus the body is better prepared to fight the invading virus.

Have you SEEN pics of life in India? Their environment is pretty much pigsty. An Indian doctor in town is the “go to” person for all things super disgusting and intestinal because she personally understands those issues, having ived there.
Comparing lifestyle in the US with India isn’t apples-to-apples when it comes to health and cleanliness.
It’s a federal agency under Department of Health and Human Services. No, they don’t have legislative power, they usurp that based on their authority to regulate transmission of communicable diseases.
Can’t, ships have to be built in the US to be flagged in the US. And all large cruise ship builders are overseas. There’s a US flagged cruise ship in Hawaii, and I assume the smaller river craft in the US are US built and flagged.
Good marketing angle, but it should be noted that Carnival owns AIDA Cruises, Costa Cruises, Carnival CSSC, Cunard Line, Holland America Line, P&O Cruises, P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises, Seabourn Cruise Line and CSSC Carnival (China) who aren’t as “dedicated” to the US.
