I didn't read the sports page when newspapers were still the thing. I never watch sports on TV with two exceptions. For a few years I watched PGA golf and the majors because I played golf with my buddies every week. And long distance running because I ran everyday. I read more about that becasue the races weren't covered on the TV much.
Beyond that I didn't follow sports or athletes or statistics at all. I couldn't tell you who plays for what team or even what sport.
The last thing I wanted to do was waste a day or whole weekend watching sports when I had so many other things I had to do. And to have to sit there and listen to some "woke" commentator seems the height of a waste of time.
People say they don't miss professional sports on TV anymore. I never watched it to begin with.

I haven’t watched 10 minutes of football in the last 3 years. Total. Maybe 20 minutes of basketball but only because the TV at the establishment had it on. I watched the Kentucky Derby. Not 1 minute of baseball soccer or hockey and not one second of ESPN.
I would think it much easier for an attractive 20 something female regardless of ethnicity to get a friendly sideline interview with player than a male reporter... unless the player is someone like Carl Nassib.
Same. Kind of amazing how you don’t miss it. Kind of like how you used to read comic books as a kid and now you don’t and you dont miss those either lol.

...we have a very talented(black)hostess...a very talented(black)on-air talent in Marie Taylor(what about affirmative action?)
...and this is representative of what the league looks like(racist?)
...to me there's no fault in considering that as part of your choice and reason to have her be the host(racism is defined by me, not for thee)
...because it's not about her ability, it's also about that fact that you also want to have a product that also reflects the league that you cover(try getting away with that if you're white Trump supporter...or white , period)
...and I don't think there's anything wrong with that(because it fits YOUR narrative)
Yes, this is a 'rat fight we should enjoy...but is also the reason this story will be buried like a mafia hit...because it pits two "common cause" characters against one another...instead of showing a united front against it's common(narrative)enemy.
