HAHAHA! My brother went to the U of Chicago. The first day, at Freshman Orientation, every new student was given a police whistle and they were instructed to have it with them at all times and blow it if they saw trouble. And if you heard a whistle, you blow yours too, and finally I supose the cops would come. (I feel like this was a system used in Jolly Old England back in the day, but I could be wrong about that.) I might still have his whistle!
