I ‘grew up’ with Samson, at the Milwaukee County Zoo.

He’s now a museum piece, which makes me sad, but also honors him.

I really don’t care for Zoos. I understand the preservation and the research part of it, and I know they’ve vastly improved through the years, but they still make me kind of sad - especially for the animals that are as smart as humans, and infinitely smarter than Socialist Democrats. ;)

San Diego Zoo, 1968....
Watching a big Silverback Gorilla and several female gorillas in a huge open area...The Silverback suddenly stopped and started sniffing the air...he then turned and went over to a female and slapped her in the back the head, knocking her down...He grabbed her by the waist and picked her up from behind, and then started humping her...
people watching started grabbing kids to leave and others laughing loud...The gorilla kept on humping and just looked up at the people like he was thinking “See what I’m doing?”

It was hilarious!!!!

Every time I see those two, I’m reminded of the marriage proposal I once got.

I was working in a Garden Center, and was helping two ‘Norwegian Bachelor Farmers’ with a big seed order. One of them said to me, “You look like a strong, hard-working woman. Brother and I have been looking for a wife since Ma passed.”

OMG! One of the funniest, most creepy things that’s ever been said to me!

P.S. We three have been happily married for 12 years now.
