Pray for his health…he would be almost 80 at inauguration. That’s too old for my vote. We need to stop electing old folks.

I agree. MAGA can move forward under the leadership of someone younger, more focused, and disciplined, and hopefully with President Trump's full endorsement.

If MAGA is dependent solely on Donald Trump to carry the banner, it will fail as a political movement.

It's time for Boomers to step aside.

Why? 1 term of trump followed by 2 of desantis as the veritable incumbent is a solid proposal .

I don't think the Donald will run again.

I made a bet with a relative for 25 cents he won't !

My ticket would be Pompeo for Pres and DiSantis for Veep.

I kind of have to agree. If Trump had just done his thing without all the tweeting and undisciplined comments, he may have just gotten re-lected. A lot of this I feel lies with him to blame. He had the choice, but he blew it in a lot of ways. His heart was, however, always and still is in the right place and I also would support him if he runs. Of course. I will also support any other true MAGA candidate that comes forth.

If we have to listen to Chris Cillizza the country is definitely gone.

President Trump comes from sturdy stock where longevity is a given.

This is a man who didn’t drink or smoke and btw, he’s eating well, lost weight a d is ready to take up the fight for Americans.

Never underestimate God’s chosen man.

Trump already won — in November of 2020.

Ronald Reagan was older. Didn’t stop him from being one of the best presidents ever.

Ronald Reagan was born on Feb 6th 1911 so he was just a few weeks shy of 70 on Inauguration Day and almost 78 when he left office. And his age had caught up to him in the waning days of his administration.

I agree with not electing older people to office. While experience is nice there is also the simple fact of cognitive decline once we pass a certain age. I consider myself very astute, mentally sharp, but I also know where I have slowed down mentally. It comes with age and Trump would be pushing an age where you do indeed lose a few steps.

It is time that we older folks start finding those younger people who we think would make good leaders for the future. We have the time, at least those of us retired, to mentor those younger candidates. It is not only money but what the views of the younger candidates are that need to be front and center. I am not interested in what their religious views are, nor do I want candidates that are either pro or against abortions,or candidates that are screaming green power advocates. I want candidates that understand and can work with people who have opposing views on issues but is willing to try and find a common ground to deal with problems. Not more of the hyper partisan politics we have going on now.

I only have a few good, productive years left and I would like to bring the next generation of leaders along and help this country yet again rise up as a beacon of sanity and freedom and not become a theocracy, or a socialist country, or one that is constantly at one another’s throats. At least I will be able to look at my nephews and say “I tried to fix it”.

You all are correct.

Trump is #1, just too old. Even if he seems fine on Inaug day he could suddenly go Biden or even die.

And I agree about his loose-cannon mouth/fingers. Always have.

"Does DeSantis have a guarded body language?"

Or a military bearing given his background? He is always Squared Away in the way he carries himself.

No laws are enough to stop those who control who counts the votes.

We ALL thought Trump won. Those who were against him pulled a win for Biden out of thin air. Even though red states and their legislatures can pass all the laws they want, DO NOT DOUBT the Dems and their ilk will do their level best to do it again, even as soon as next years mid-terms.

AND, they may orchestrate any number of things to ‘happen’ to things set up to get their way.

I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but barring either a miracle or a massive uprising involving lots of violence, I do not see a positive outcome ahead. I am sorry, but that’s how I feel.

"If President Trump is the nominee I will support him one hundred per cent. But I would prefer Ron DeSantis."

Something Richard Baris said after things settled a bit, that he didn't see the fire in his eye or belly if you will, and I don't either. I posted this a while back and LS agreed, I don't see him do it.

My dream ticket if the big guy doesn't is...

DeSantis / Paul

Had Paul been Trump's VP and not Pence, I wonder how different the last 5 or 6 yrs might be.

Sen Paul as of late is impressing the hell out of me, ditto that DeSantis everyday w/ Regeneron Centers, Ex-Orders, and today Inviting Cops down from Blue-States. Brass Balls man, he wins that award. Add to that his Mil-Spec Background and it's a win-win.

If Trump waits til 2024, he won't win because there won't be an election. SOMETHING MUST be done before 2022 ut what I don't know.
