Of course we have. The cultures.
Congratulations to the champ. Both of these kids were totally awesome, deserving and had great attitudes. Leylah Fernandez isn’t just quite thoughtful, she is very funny.... https://www.narcity.com/leylah-fernandez-says-her-wild-us-open-success-is-thanks-to-canadian-maple-syrup-video\
“After she won her quarterfinal match on September 7, the 19-year-old was asked what people are being fed up north that’s making Canadian players so good at this competition. “I would say it’s the maple syrup. The Canadian maple syrup are very good,” Fernandez said”
It’s bad for white people.
Raducanu was born on 13 November 2002 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to Ian and Renee, who originate from Bucharest, Romania, and Shenyang, Liaoning, China, respectively.

Leylah Fernandez is culturally just as mixed as Raducanu. She was apparently born in Quebec.... father came from Ecuador where he played soccer and mother came to Canada from the Philippines. https://firstsportz.com/tennis-who-are-leylah-fernandez-parents/

She’s a cutie, too, rather than the amazons we’re used to seeing. I might have to start watching women’s tennis again.
At least she’s not a Blancmange, and random people aren’t turning into Scotsmen.
The “nationality” tag is laughable these days.
I’m of French Huguenot ancestry and some black French dude once tried to tell me he was “French” - I laughed at him and said, “I’m way more French in terms of bloodlines & ethnicity than you’ll ever be. What you speak of is your “national ID card” paper.”
It’s all BS!
Emma is half Romanian and half Chinese - her nationality is “British”, not her ethnicity. It used to be that nationality and ethnicity were one and the same, but not so in this weird Babylonian world of the past 50 or 60 years.
IMHO, you are very correct and I echo your thoughts “We lost something important”.
Indeed we have!

Indeed we have!”
And we may never get it back.
