Years ago, when I lived in LA, there was a huge fire up in the hills, every expensive house and barn burned to the ground except one 40-acre place owned by a woman who saved wild horses. Pretty miraculous. I learned decades later that every day since she had purchased the property, she walked around it reading Bible verses outloud, asking God to protect her.
Really made me cry, it was so lovely.
Probably didn’t have Homeowners, so they couldn’t afford to have it fried.

Drones can take care of that. But getting there and back will be sporty.
Flare gun and burn it down. I’m really not sure it matters. From an insurance perspective it’s unusable. Then again insurance agencies are complete douche bags. Everyone who works for them are crooks.

The house has been spared. Good for it. Still, the Canary Islands are now off my list of possible destinations to flee to in order to get away from the Covid madness sweeping the USA. Bummer.
Chart does not account for rain cooling (a bigger factor) as it just addresses radiant cooling and I did say 200C in a year. Surrounding depth does not look meters. 1/2 meter or so to perhaps a meter. Still a massive thermal mass. Either way... very very toasty. Serious in floor radiant heating. ;-)
What shocked me is the trees around the house are still green. Weird to say the least.
It's a hot neighborhood... really hot.
