I will begin working toward that. I’ll try the Advocacy first, then go to Mike Roger’s office. Good advice.

If everybody filed a hand written return the IRS would shit in their pants.
I encourage it.

Go back in time. E-file your returns.
Sorry. Not much of a solution but that’s all I have.

Ouch!
If you continue to fail to get them on the horn, next stop would be your US congresscritter.
If you're in Alabama, you're probably in luck, seeing as how there's only one Dem CONgriftweasel there.

I am in Alabama, on the RIGHT SIDE of the state. My rep is Mike Rogers.

Do you see anything about your return on the IRS.gov site?

Given the present state of the USPS, I would not mail any important item without tracking and possibly a signature. Yes, its expensive. Without it you have zero to stand on. Yes.
ALWAYS do tracking and a signature when dealing with the IRS and paperwork sent through the mail.

I sent mine in on April 15th, I enclosed a check of $900 that has not been cashed.
To: Jemian
Yes, they were behind for 2019 for paper forms, took about 9 months. Had the same message on the account site, but since a check was mailed with the forms and cashed shortly thereafter we knew they got them on time. Once they processed and mailed them they updated the account site with correct information. Not too worry they were over a million behind on processing paper submissions last year. There are articles published on the numbers behind if you do a search.

Shouldn’t have to, they need to do their job. True - but they don't care.

If and when you file by mail, always send it certified with a return receipt. That way you know they got it. Then it’s on them to explain. Not you.

Yes, you are right. I just did not want to stand in that unbelievably long line. Oh, my goodness. It may have been 50 yards long.
