“...exclusively confirmed that Cassie Laundrie may have been...”
“MAY HAVE”.
I have exclusively confirmed that I “may have” killed John F Kennedy.
DECEPTIVE headline.
Look in that cracker jack box again. You can indeed be a chargeable accessory after the fact long before charges are filed. You rob a bank, show up at your friend’s house and he clearly has knowledge of what you have done. You tell him you need help escaping and he hides you from the cops and helps arrange and execute your going into hiding. Charges were not filed on you the bank robber at that point.
Yes, your friend can and will be charged.
Were you just waiting for a chance to say dog the bounty hunter is barking up the wrong tree? It isn’t a factual claim. Dog the bounty hunter will dig him up and fetch him back. The promise of fame is a huge motivation for him to succeed and millions of people are dying to help him.
Agree that is fuzzy verbiage. More to the point: The lawyer Bertolino has repeatedly provided differing info to different inquiries. Bertolino says "may have been" in one reply, then "idk" in another reply. He gave different dates for the Laundrie camping trip. With so many sleuths on the case requesting details, Bertolino is increasing his workload and fostering suspicions by failing to provide consistent responses to the same questions.
He’ll turn up. He isn’t very bright, and has extremely poor impulse control. The people helping him flee are also not too bright overall.
He can hide in a hollow tree stump in Appalachia as long as he wants, but he’ll get caught soon enough. He will need to steal, get resupplied, or try a new identity eventually. And then he will quickly be rolled up.
The low IQ killer is only delaying the inevitable.
Have the Dog interrogate her.
Not if he's dead, which he well might be. Also it is not uncommon for killers to never be caught, or to be caught years or decades after the killing. Only 54% of murder and non-negligent homicides result in an arrest in the U.S. according to 2020 statistics.
confirmed...may have....
What the heck does that mean? Nothing!
obvious questions are whether brian had a passport, and whether he took it with him or left it home. i somewhat doubt that one can board a mexican commerical airplane without a passport or mexican ID. if brian did not take his passport, then did he take his father’s passport.
“Not sure exactly what it means, except that the FBI is several steps behind the Laundries, a couple steps behind the Twitter sleuths, and maybe even a step behind Dog the Bounty Hunter.”
As Babylon Bee recently pointed out, the FBI does MUCH BETTER solving crimes that they commit, than solving crimes that others commit.
She was confirmed to be there with the family but it is not known if Brian was there so they have to say may have for the rest of (including Brian) the family.
It is easily understood if aren't just trying to be disagreeable because you don't like the topic or whatever issue you are having.
No - the opportunity just walked up and knocked on my door.
My theory - the boyfriend has maintained absolute silence since the murder.
The guy has a 50-50 chance of beating a murder charge.
The prosecutor will have to prove what day and time the young woman died, prove that the boyfriend was there at that time, and prove that the young woman was actually murdered.
My understanding is she was found in a creek. Between the water and the local carnivorous wildlife, there will be no DNA evidence, and possibly no clear manner of death.
Did the boyfriend kill her? Of course he killed her.
Can they prove it beyond a reasonable doubt?
They will need to get lucky.
Where is the boyfriend? No idea - which is the same idea that Dog has.
He didn’t finish the setence.
She was confirmed to be there with the family but it is not known if Brian was there *at the same time* so they have to say may have for the rest of (ie. Brian) the family.
She was confirmed to be there with the family. Therefore maybe she was lying earlier when she said hadn’t seen or spoken to Brian after he got back. However we don’t know that yet so until they learn otherwise they have to report may have for the rest of the family, ie. Brian.

Good points. There is little doubt professional advice was to disappear and let the heat of the moment lapse.
When he's captured or turns himself in, he will go to Wyoming first for arraignment. Like most states, Wyoming has an 'extreme emotional disturbance' mitigating circumstance for Murder, and 'sudden heat of passion' is directly quoted for Manslaughter.
However, both Murder 2 and Manslaughter are 20 years mandatory, which means they have to convince the Petito's to accept Involuntary Manslaughter, otherwise Brain goes away for 15 years minimum.
So he's hiding not just to cheat the Death Penalty, but has to concoct some story that sells Involuntary Manslaughter. From what we've seen from the family so far, money says none of them are smart enough to do that.
"Good time credits may reduce the minimum sentence by 1/3 and the maximum sentence by 1/4. Thus, the typical inmate becomes eligible for parole after serving 2/3’s of the full minimum sentence."

NEW: “To my knowledge Cassie went for a day.”
Laundrie family attorney says Brian’s sister Cassie was at the campground last month – despite Cassie saying in an earlier interview she hasn’t spoken to Brian since he returned to Florida.
10-1-21, Laundrie attorney Mr. Bertolino:
“Cassie saw her brother Brian on September 01 when he stopped by her home and again on September 6 at Fort De Soto Park. Law enforcement agencies are well aware of these dates. Any prior communication by Cassie that does not reflect these dates is simply a difference of relating an answer to a question misinterpreted by Cassie or poorly posed by the inquirer.”
I think we have a case of “caught in a web of lies.”
Btw, apparently none of them have any friends. I've not seen anyone come forward and defend them or say "My friends blah blah blah". No friends have come to their house to be emotional support.
