She said she earns a good salary at NASA and it looks like she likes her job. She said she just wants some extra money. She thought the part time salary of $20 per hour she was offered at Tiffany’s was good for the area she lives in (Houston).

The headline is misleading, saying she was ‘forced’ to look for a second job. She says she has student loans and wants to travel more, she never said she was impoverished or doesn’t have money.

The people posting comments about the story are the ones attacking capitalism, NASA, etc. Looks like the usual mix of malcontents and trolls.

Big deal. When I was in my 20s, I had a good paying job in my profession, but lived in a high cost area, was single, and wanted to buy a home of my own. So I got a second job for a year until I had saved enough for a down payment and got rid of credit card debt (lesson learned). I knew others who did the same. It was called, personal responsibility. I knew if I really wanted something (like a house), I needed to make sacrifices and work for it.
