I hunted elk a few years ago in an area of Wyoming called “Crazy Woman Canyon”. I wonder how long that one will last?
There’s been controversy for sometime. In 1963 the federal government changed “N-word” place names to “Negro” place names, but they later blocked Texas state legislation that would have required further changes. Canada and Australia have also had “N-word” place names and changed them. In 1974, the federal government renamed “Jap” places “Japanese” places. “Chinaman” places are also liable to be changed now. It seems like a distraction from the real problems the country is facing now.

All this rewriting of history and giving everything a new name - it has happened before in basically the exact same way - in France in 1789. Those people were just as crazy as their modern equivalents. That movie ended badly just as this one will inevitably do. History is there for the taking - too bad society has been dumbed down so much so that it might as well not exist.

Yeah, renaming “racist” locations in federal parks is the #1 threat facing America. Moron-ism is a bigger plague in America than COVID. They spend time carefully combing over every aspect of life to find minutiae to complain about, while illegal criminal invaders swarm into the country, bringing diseases, terrorism, child trafficking, drugs, etc.

I’m even more distressed now that I realize that here in CA, there are THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS of cities, counties, streets, schools, and geographical features named after Catholic saints or theology (e.g., Sacramento = Holy Sacrament”) each and every one of these pays tribute to the oppression of indigenous peoples by the Spanish. All of them have to go. Right, leftist geniuses?
