My friend Merle is buried in the area where it happened.
I wish I’d seen it happening.
Only that I wish I’d been watching over Cedar lawn but really don’t because nothing ever happens there.
It’s an open cemetery with a neighborhood all around it, plainly visible from old rt 40 and new 40.

In Hancock, the actual town mayor went out one night and destroyed a rebel flag on the side of a wall belonging to a tavern because “triggered whiny bitches”, despite the fact that it honored a Confederate veteran who came home to become the town’s beloved doctor, after the war.
There’s a small park dedicated to his community service on the other side of the wall.
Thing is, when hillbillies go all Florida man, it doesn’t make the papers.
For whatever reason, the enemdia really has a bullseye on your state’s back.
