GM's Chinese "partner" is building EVs for sale (I think in China only) as GM products.
Tesla's least productive plant is the one in Fremont, and by the end of 2022, the Shanghai expansion will be operational, as will the new Austin TX and Berlin Germany factories. And Tesla will still not be building them quite fast enough, but will be making money like crazy.
Also, battery production, rather than chip production, is the main constraint on vehicle production.
I'll predict right now that Tesla's going to have to allow users to drop so-called "full self driving" to get their interface back in shape.
Tesla should contract with Apple to build their touch screen interface using Apple silicon. The Apple car appears to be dead yet again, so it would make sense for Apple as well.
This WILL NEVER happen for GM, Tesla is a superior brand just like Trump properties is a superior brand!! Union workers can NEVER produce that kind of quality THEY DON’T CARE about the quality of the product!! GM is dreaming I don’t care how much money the stinking government throws at them!! There are going to be HUGE battery problems ahead, Musk is VERY SMART and has prepared for this, GM you can bet will be behind the eight ball just like the government is behind the eight ball on EVERY damn thing they are responsible for!!
Barra is going to crash GM into bankruptcy again.
Don’t worry if GM fails we will bail them out again.
