We did pre covid, but with all this crap these days I refuse.
Don’t know when/if you’re gonna get in a situation where the person next to you pulls any weapon on you.
Liberals bitch and moan all the time about it, and shut up when I explain their policies on releasing violent felons caused this.
Fighting might not always work. I’m not criticizing the Uber driver btw - except why was she working for Uber? STAY ALIVE AND SURVIVE: DON’T WORK FOR UBER.
If some guy I didn’t know managed to get into a vehicle behind me when I was driving and sit in the back seat with a gun to my head - very hypothetical situation, but let’s just say - the first thing I would look for would be another vehicle that had people in it, or something to wreck into where there were people/witnesses. I would do this very suddenly, all the while trying to be cooperative and nice. I would scream and say “OH NO!” like I was totally surprised. I wouldn’t worry about other people involved or witnessing the crash, but just getting the F out of there. Chances are decent that if there are people around, the assailant will freak and just try to get away at that point. (However, you can never tell these days. So many people are on speed and have the “ethnic suicidality trait” that I’ve discussed on this board previously.)
Getting back to the subject, I would have a low-impact wreck with an object or vehicle. Yes, maybe I would still get shot but in the few minutes of confusion after the crash - maybe the airbags would deploy and that would help if I was prepared for it and the passenger wasn’t - I might be able to jump out and save myself. In the few seconds of confusion after the crash I might try to grab the assailant’s gun and yank it away from him.
This lady wasn’t used to having guns pushed into her head and she was likely so frightened that she couldn’t think of anything but what they tell you in “rape awareness” courses: Just be girly, cry and act scared, and cooperate with the attacker, and he’ll go away eventually and leave you alone so you can go to the hospital and have nurses and cops ask you why you didn’t try to fight - if you live through it. (The phenomenon of women who hate other women enough to give advice like that never fails to amaze me.)
If someone gets you in a situation in a car, getting into a minor crash with another car is infinitely preferable to trying to jump out while the car is moving.
But again: Don’t let ethnics or bums of any race into your home or your car. Be suspicious. Be vigilant. Heck: Be PARANOID. Live to see another day. Even if you’re an egg-sucking liberal, I would rather your family not go on the skids because you got murdered by a customer.

The woman was an Uber driver; the very nature of the Uber/Lyft/taxi business is that someone gets into the seat behind you.
(Everybody's got a solution that involves a gun until it comes down to the details that always appear in real life.)

Good point, nobody. When you are helpless in a situation all you can do is hope for the best. Nobody believes they are going to be killed and why destroy your car when you believe that all that is going to happen is that you're going to be robbed......?
As a side note, the nephew of a close friend was attacked and stabbed by an Uber driver back in Dec. 2016 in Bloomfield Michigan for allegedly dissing his car.........

Not in Hungary and some other eastern Europe countries. But it’s difficult and costly to establish residence in most other countries.
I don't want to be a racist. I truly don't. I want to get along with everyone. I really don't care what color, creed, ethnicity, etc. people are. I really don't.
But after being browbeaten with endless BLM and anti-racism propaganda, at some point the rest of us need to demand that black Americans are going to have to look in the mirror as well and address the rampant, senseless, ignorant, violent criminality, unwed motherhood, and general dysfunction that defines much of their culture.
In Chicago, Baltimore, St. Louis, DC, etc. these crimes happen every weekend and never make the news. People get shot to death just walking down the street but because it's black on black, we don't talk about it. Most importantly, the black community doesn't want to talk about it. "This is just how we are" they'll say. "Concentrate on police violence!" they'll say. "White supremacy!" the liberals will say.
Black America needs to clean up their act. Yes, I know there's plenty of violent white criminals but we generally police our own. We don't have mommas running to the media, "My baybee dindu nuffin!" when a white piece of sh*t murders someone.

I am not going to play the "probably" game with you. I am going to double down on my original statement. If you are armed, have proper training (pre-requisite for carrying IMO) and have the proper attitude your chances of surviving an encounter with a predator (even if he is behind you with a gun to your head) go up dramatically . If you want to argue that fact, go ahead. Not being armed and not fighting back when/if you have a chance will lead to your death whenever the predator decides to kill you, 100% of the time.
Good tactic to employ, but driver has to first guess if the gun holder has an IQ high enough to understand what will happen to him if he shoots, while at high speed.
I can understand why; the moment the guy sat down behind her and drew a gun, the odds were against her, no matter what caliber weapon she may have had, or how many rounds it held. (She would have had a better chance following the other poster's suggestion and crashing her car.)
The reason that so many perps immediately put their hands up when the cop points a weapon at them is that they are very much aware that because the cop has his gun drawn and pointed, they simply don't have the time to draw their own and get off a shot.
Uber drivers, and pretty much everyone else, understand this as well.
As your screen name isn't "Yosemite Sam", I'm curious as to how you would draw the sidearm of your choice and get a shot off at someone behind you before he killed you; your input here could enlighten the rest of us.
