We can pushback on Jo Jo’s Juneteenth crap holiday by not buying any cotton underwear or aspirins with cotton in the bottle on that day.
“as long as the holiday is paid for by government money and not taxpayer money”
Government money is taxpayer money.
testing...
“as long as the holiday is paid for by government money and not taxpayer money”
Government money is taxpayer money.
It’s officially the 19th, but will be observed on the 18th if the 19th is a Saturday, or observed on the 20th if the 19th is a Sunday.

Just another excuse to make another 3 day holiday weekend for federal employees, and teachers, and... the list goes on.
If there were any legitimate sentiment to the stated ‘sacred’ holiday it would always occur on the appropriate stated date, with no fluctuations.
It doesn’t bother me as long as the holiday is paid for by government money and not taxpayer money;

The government has no money other than what they’ve fleeced the taxpayers of.
Hulloooooo Humble, long time no see. Hope all is well with you.
I will never take off work for Juneteenth. Another in an endless series of BS in a dying country.

I should know better than to joke about profligate federal behavior.
I didn't think I needed any.
Have you some specifics to recommend for which I might need some help?
My best friend’s sister’s boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who’s going with the girl who said that Juneteenth is replacing Groundhog Day as a national holiday last night. I guess it’s pretty serious.
It’s a day off. I don’t care the whys and wherefores.
HISTORY: Not all slaves were freed by the Emancipation Proclamation, nor via Juneteenth. Only the slaves of the REBEL states were freed then. Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation was a wartime effort to split and weaken the South; he did NOT free any slaves in the Northern states. Slaves in the non-rebelling border states had to wait for the 13th Amendment, effective December 18, 1865.
