He’s been living with this for over a year and never bothered to call the Orkin man himself. Screwed around for 9 months getting bitten and trying to get the landlord to pay for a fumigation instead of dealing with it himself. Something doesn’t make sense.

For spraying for most spiders the safest and most effective is Bayer Tempo SC. We use it in our seed barn, on concrete floor. It will kill weevils and crickets for years after spraying inside the building. It kills most spiders. Not Black Widows.

If that does not work you can step up to Bayer Temprid. It even kills bedbugs. Residual lasts for 6 months.

Now, treating the bites? I've been bitten by Brown Recluse spiders 2 times. Simplest treatment is cut down a nitro patch the size of the bite area and leave it for a couple of days. It will dilate the blood vessels and allow the body to clean up the venom. Everyone who tried this has succeeded in clearing up the bite.

I have even used 1/4 of a nitro tablet on top of bite, one drop of water to dissolve, covered with band-aid for a couple of days. Always works.

There was a doctor in Ft. Worth that regularly treated his patients with this.

Black widows “can” kill you, and they are not killed by regular insect spray.

Yes. And have been bitten by unconfirmed spider bites I treated the same way. Always works.

Never been bitten by a Black Widow. There are a lot of them around our farm shops and barns.

Do they allow pesticides in Britain?

I would get rather creative, but have a background and resources he may not.

From your link it says ...

"They also added that "in rare instances, victims have developed minor wounds at the bite site or had to be treated for severe bacterial infections.""

And the video linked at the bottom of the page says there are "only 24 globally confirmed cases of False Widow Spider bites."

A team of scientists from NUI Galway ...

Yes. Like those used by heart patients.

I was caring for my grandmother the first time I used that treatment.

2nd time I used 1/4 nitro pill, a drop of water and a band-aid to hold in place.

I have since used it on other non identified spider bites. Works ever time. May need more than one treatment.

It will even work on old bites. Don’t expect a doctor to prescribe this. Some doctors have used this. I discussed this here on FR a number of years ago. At the time I had the doctor’s name. The original link no longer worked.

I’m deathly afraid of spiders and scorpions, so much that even pictures of them make my heart skip a beat. TBH, I was afraid to click on this thread in case images of my nemeses were involved, but it actually wasn’t too bad. That said, I’d have moved out after the second spider bite, or set it aflame, lol. If this guy is staying put and just living with this situation, he’s an idiot...or he likes the attention he’s getting.

Move to the Dakotas or Minnesota where it's too cold for them.
