My cousin lost his only son that way. Devastated everyone, including his two young sisters, one of whom had been planning her wedding. You just never know when depression can take someone over the cliff of despair.
They recently performed together....just a few weeks ago...at CMT awards....Naomi looked and sounded great....vid at link 😢
I don’t know Jane. I know she had plastic surgery but the look in her eyes was hollow......but that’s just me. I hate this and I hate that she was so unhappy and that this hopelessness took over and won. So very sad......;(

The Judds had many big hits during the 1980s. Back then, country music wasn't that much a part of my life but I've become a big fan of country music since then.
So it’s the mom, Naomi Judd that was the knock out. (I always got them mixed up.)

I think Naomi took some wrong turns in her movies taking kind of slutty roles. She was such a cutie - she didn’t need to do that IMO.

Oh yes she was.......when I saw her years ago she had swollen in her face because I believe because of steroids for her disease and later when she performed she looked like she had work done. I don’t think she would have ever needed it.....she had a natural beauty inside and out.
Always thought all three of them, Naomi, Ashley, and Wynonna were off, or unstable.
Makes you wonder if Naomi remained a nurse and led an ordinary life, if they all would have been so “troubled” or caught the “disease’.

That was a beautiful duet but I think Naomi looked out of it. Like she was there but her heart wasn’t in the performance and Wynona appeared to be trying to will her mother into the performance. I remember when my father was dying and I still hoped that the doctors could heal his infection and he would get stronger. I was trying to will him into wanting to stay with us a little while longer, but his heart wasn’t in it. He was so tired and ready to go be with Mom and his family. Maybe that was how Naomi felt. Just tired of life and exhausted at the idea of going on tour. Prayers for her daughters.
Dan Akroyd stayed married 40 years which is unusual for Hollywood..but then in their 60s they decide to split.
I grew up in India where there were more poor people than any other country until 1960 when I left India for USA. I do not recall poor persons killing themselves by jumping in front of a truck or jumping from a building, or overdosing on ganja.

The second time I watched it her eyes seem awfully sorrowful. She surely battled depression a long time. Sometimes it must seem unbearable. It looks that way for Naomi. May she be in God’s peace now.
