Wrong. Christ gave the Holy Spirit to guide us in all Truth not your particular now apostate denomination. There is indeed one holy Christian apostolic church and it has nothing to do with the Roman Catholic church. It is built on Jesus Christ as the chief and cornerstone not Peter and has only One mediator between God and man - Christ Jesus alone.

My guess is that Francis is not ready to resign, but he wants to give the cardinals that he has appointed a chance to get to know each other now to reduce the risk that they might inadvertently elect a practicing Catholic to the papacy once he is gone.

Until the Holy Spirit opens your eyes to see and understand the Bible, you will be blind to it. It is not the Roman Catholic Church or any other mere men that you should depend on to give you understanding, but rather The Holy Spirit who Christ sent to earth to indwell us and teach us.
