For a long time, There was a known link between marihuana and schizophrenia.
However is was not known exactly if marihuana causes schizophrenia or schizophrenias self medicate with marihuana.
BTW, schizophrenia is extremally bad mental disease, often causing violent attacks on innocent people.
Like the guys who shot in the Denver movie theater or congresswoman in Tucson.
I believe many of the mass shootings are caused by it.
Yep, they legalized it without understanding the effects of it (probably because there was no research in the effects of cannabis) and then let the producers make it as potent as they wanted. And the ignorant potheads thought that the more THC in a product, the better.

So they didn’t actually study if weed users had more mental health problems. And as we all know, correlation is not causation.
A lot of older men were already smoking it in their youth. It was all the rage from the middle to late ‘70s.
Many of the anxiety/depression disorders result from years of smoking pot. Those are far more common than schizophrenia.
So 1/8th of the population has been schizo for the past 60 years?

Pot doesn’t cause schizophrenia.
It brings it out sooner.
But these folks were going to get sick anyway.

No reputable scientist, and no peer reviewed study has ever shown pot to cause a permanent psychosis.
It’s temporary, and lasts a few hours.
It’s called being high.
