It’s a RonCo
My daughter and I bought 30 meat chicks for 0.50 a piece last year. She raised them, had them slaughtered and defeathered. We shrunk wrapped them. Cost per chicken with feed and processing was less than 1.50 each. I still have 3 in my freezer, about 7-8 pounds. They are THE best tasting chickens ever. We will be doing that again this year.
Along the same principal I always purchase whole pork loin’s for 2 dollars a pound or less from Sam’s . You get 15-20 boneless chops and usually a couple of roasts for 17-20 dollars...I also get the whole birds and use every bit of it. I thank God .
My cats won’t eat ANYTHING but Fancy Feast however they both LOVE chicken, and you are right I am in CA. and Fancy Feast is 83 cents a can GEEZE it wasn’t that long ago it was 43 cents a can!! My cats WILL NOT touch a different brand of cat food they will starve first LOL!!!
A whole live chicken is easy to kill, pluck and cut up.
We could do it blindfolded by the time we were 10 years old.
Even a whole bought plucked and eviscerated chicken can be cut into pieces in less than five minutes.
I cook a brisket then cut it up into meal sized portions and freeze them. Lasts a good while.
So... You come from a long line of chicken pluckers... (hee-hee)
Indeed. The vacuum sealer is a very useful kitchen tool.
Instant pot eye round roast beef came out pretty good. The gravy was excellent. Next time I’ll make it a little more rare than the recipe says.

[Bought a rotisserie for 2 bucks at a garage sale, works great. Fun to watch and good to smell especially in the winter when the heat is also a benefit. Otherwise do it on the patio and enjoy a cold one while it’s cooking.]
Yeah, the incredible edible egg is a real life saver, too. They are so versatile and are excellent, high quality protein and lots of important minerals. They always taste good to me.
Chicken & Rice might be one of my favorite meals, maybe not as good as roast beef sandwiches and mashed potatoes, but it’s right up there. Very simple to make. I like fried chicken as much as anybody, but it’s a hassle, and makes kind of a mess.
They sure are a tasty bird!
LOL, yes, I guess YOU could say that.
