Even big jets can glide as long as there’s enough airflow over the wing.

True.

For those who haven't already heard of the Gimli Glider, an Air Canada Boeing 767 that the pilots glided to a landing from 41,000 feet in 1983:

It could have been in the tank from which they fueled the airplane from. Not necessary to be nefarious. I usually try not to go there unless there is some evidence that points in that direction. But a nefarious reason is all too possible, and it is not by any means, negated as a possibility for being the reason. But unless it is not something that gets into a refueling gas tank, like sugar for example, it will be hard to prove I imagine.

I was gonna say glide ratio too.

Glad you mentioned altitude.

And the terrain and weather are important factors.

Praise God she made it.

Hard to compare car momentum to planes. You’ll (almost) never see a car turned over by a blast of wind.
Aircraft are vulnerable. Ditto ships that can get dunked quite unexpectedly by rogue waves, not to mention the configuration of sails.
The wings that keep you up are the wings that will get you crashed to smithereens.
It can all happen before human error even gets its pants on.

Well it will coast to someplace but not very far. Friction and stuff with tires and road.

What does this article sound as if it’s written in that “click bait” style?

You know...where it adds drama words to stretch it out page, after page, after page.

I come from a family of pilots and single engine planes can land just fine without an engine assuming no other control surface is compromised. Yes, you need a reasonable surface to land on and they almost always nose the engine into the dirt...but it is usually survivable.

‘They’ are foreigners. The folks that wrote the piece.

glide to a landing

Gliding is fine for staying up, it's a beast for getting down alive.

I would say if you pull back on the throttle and you’re going slow already, that might get you down real quick. JMO

Yes, that could result in a stall. That's why pilots are taught not to do that. This pilot certainly flew the plane for miles after the engine quit, but obviously couldn't find a suitable landing spot in time.

My husband had an engine blow up in our turbo Bonanza, He had altitude, something like 20k I think, and he glided to an airport.

I can't be sure, but have you changed your position on the so called vaccines? My memory is not all that good anymore, but weren't you defending the vaccines a wile ago? If that is the case, you are awakening to the realities of the evil that is trying to take control of this world. Welcome to the awakening. 🙂 👍

But seriously (not related to the above but to your statement), if it was an attempted murder, it was because of the vaccines, indirectly, because she is fighting the battle against them. However, I think there are higher-profile people who are also fighting these, masquerading as vaccines, kill shots at worse and human altering in some nefarious manner. One thing we can be sure of, is that they are not vaccines at all.

Their emergency beacon hadn’t activated and despite having been diverted to a different airport by air traffic control and never having arrived, they were not reported missing by the second airport.

If they had been using flight following, ATC would have known immediately their transponder wasn't working, and/or the second they started to lose altitude. The overwhelming reason behind private plane crashes is running out of fuel.

This is why Mike Adams no longer flies in small planes.

Does an airplane engine that is “running out” of fuel sound different than an engine that suddenly has its fuel cut off by an obstruction?

Decades ago there was a jet going to the Canary Islands from England, they fought a big headwind the whole way and ran out of fuel. They could do nothing but try to glide the thing to the airport. And they did, barely. It would have been pretty scary to be in a big jet with no engine noise and all you can see out the window is water.

I saw that interview with Carrie & Mike Adams - quite the story. Looks like she is out of the hospital and healing up.

It’s a video worth watching as she describes what was going on as the plane started having trouble, then went down & how difficult it was to find the plane/get help.
