“one of those small tags off a pillow that says, DO NOT REMOVE THIS TAG, “

Why do you perpetuate this stupid myth?

I don't have the time to really get into the "deep politics" of this situation as do many of my fellow freepers, i.e., what senile Sleepy Joe's handlers and their DoJ/FBI are really after. But the prima facie aspect of their claim is just so obviously wrong: A multi-billionaire former President is going to steal classified nuclear documents and sell them to Putin & Russia? If that even made any sense at all (it doesn't), then Putin & Russia would have to offer him at least $10B+ for the offer to even have the remotest chance of being considered.

Even if all of the above were to actually occur (it wouldn't), how would that $10B+ be laundered and covered up? Would Ivanka & Jared then purchase a $5B South Pacific island for themselves? Would The Donald spend $2B of it to build Barron his own personal 20,000-seat basketball stadium so he could practice foul shots every day? I mean, c'mon, fake-news far-left MSM, senile Sleepy Joe's handlers and their DoJ/FBI, and Democrats/RINOs in general, can't you at least do a little better than that? Seriously? LOL!

I used to think that AOC, The Squad, RINO Liz Cheney, and RINO Dick Cheney were some of the most insane people on the far-left, but senile Sleepy Joe's handlers and their DoJ/FBI are taking far-left insanity to a "... whole ... 'nother ... level!"

The documents are evidence in an already foled ciovil law suit against the perpetators of the Russia Hoax. They are proptected under the law of Attorney Client privilege, They belong to Trump as evidence, and he could not publish them because of his law suit, or he would be giving it away to his defendants.

I can't speak for Trump's timing. Maybe he's waiting for the 2024 campaign. Or maybe it was just all a big stack of nothing, like Al Capone's vault.

We don't know.

Why didn’t Trump publish them if the American people need to see them?

It's more complicated than that. I think The Conservative Treehouse explained it the other day.

“Makes perfect sense.”

If he had evidence, why didn’t he use it?

Good question. See post #36 and links.

Short answer - documents part of ongoing cases, among others Durham probe. Proable reason for that investigation - to stop Trump from making those documents public.

Donald Trump Jr.
@DonaldJTrumpJr

If you think it’s a coincidence that Jeffrey Epstein’s lawyer became a federal judge and that very same judge, of thousands of judges, was the person to sign off on the Mar-a-Lago search warrant you haven’t been paying attention!

The marxists have totally captured the government and the democrat party.

And the media (broadcast, print, social), and the entertainment (TV, movies, sports, theme parks). Not much that the marxists don't control.

This was obviously one of the reasons if not the main reason. Believe me- some of us already realized it.

If they are evidence, they should have either been in the court’s file, or his attorney’s office, not Trump’s private quarters. The defendants would have been entitled to see it as part of discovery. Getting a search warrant to rummage through Melania Trump’s underwear drawer is disgusting and offensive, and a pure act of spite.

Why didn’t Trump publish them if the American people need to see them?

Probably because he knew they were going to steal the election and any evidence he produced would be diluted and skewed by the media in his absence. When he comes back, however, I bet we'll see considerable action.

Upon close inspection it occurs to me that that just might be a joke. Seriously.

Yes, technically President Trump can declassify anything. However, it is also true that technically POTUS doesn’t actually declassify anything. The Office of the President asks for a document to enter into a declassification review process.

Officials within that process (ODNI, DoD, DoS, FBI, DOJ-NSD, CIA, NSA, etc), based on their unique relationship to the interests within the document(s), can approve or refuse to sign-off based on their specific intelligence interests. This is where compartmented intelligence comes into play.
