I see posts on twitter like “trans women are women”. But in basic biology someone born
male has no womb and cannot give birth. So
“becoming a woman” doesn’t mean a born-male
tranny can birth a baby.
I work for Postal Service and can tell you
at least at my sorting facility, there are men’s bathrooms and locker rooms, and women’s bathrooms and locker rooms. No
“unisex” or “other”. A “mailman” is called a gender neutral “letter carrier” though.
That’s because those of either gender can do the job. But in bodily functions, there are two genders and that is that.

Hate to burst your bubble, but many of the freakazoids to which you refer are homegrown in your adopted state. Keep in mind that many conservative New Yorkers are leaving New York for Florida for the same reasons that you left Massachusetts for Florida.

Sex is not “assigned” at birth. Sex is determined by your chromosomes. That is determined well before birth - and its not “assigned” by anyone. Its a biological fact.

No matter how insistent the "woke" zeitgeist groupthink might be that sex is a social construct and a matter of personal preference--or whatever trendy nonsense might drift through the opinions of the self-appointed intelligentsia from time to time--the fact remains that the male sex and the female sex are an essential part of human biology, have always been, and will always be, and that any deviation from this scientific fact is delusion.
The "woke" groupthink is thoroughly delusional. All honest, intelligent, clear-thinking people are aware of that.
The National Institute of Health (NIH) is correct on both accounts; i.e., gender is a social, in fact a grammatical, construct, and sex is the biological difference between females and males.
The school is correct also.
The "social construct" that is "gender" is a matter of grammar.
For example, in French, there are two genders: male and female.
In German, there are three genders: masculine, feminine, and neuter. They conform to some extent to sex, but generally they do not. For example, the German word for knife is neuter, spoon masculine, fork feminine, and the word for girl Mädchen is neuter (because the diminutive suffix -chen converts the word to which it is applied into the neuter gender, in this case Mad, for woman, which is feminine). These are grammatical differences and therefore could be considered "social construct."
However, in the English language, gender conforms strictly to sex. There are a few exceptions; for example, a ship is sometimes assigned the feminine gender, but this is essentially poetic in contemporary English.
So the school is perfectly correct in recognizing "biological gender" and "sex" as the same thing, inasmuch as its language is English.
No matter how determined the "woke" activists might be to change science to suit their delusions, they are doomed to failure. Delusion never changes reality, but reality sooner or later smashes delusion.

One's sex is not assigned at birth; it's recorded at birth. God assigns sex at fertilization (or shortly thereafter).
Also, note that NBC changes that to "biological gender" - there's no such thing. "Biology" and "gender" don't go together.
