I agree, my county fair is a bunch of politicos pimping their "virtues" and I have not been to one in over a decade.
I am a big supporter of my local volunteer fire department and try to go to all of their events and donate multiple hundreds of dollars.
These guys are very special {especially in today's world}.
Our fire chief has his own small business and gives up many hours {and thousands of dollars in profits} to serve his community.
Ya just gotta support those kinda folks.
My parents took the family to Disneyland in 1965, and my wife and I went there in 2005. She sometimes mentions going again, but I’m not due for another visit until 2045.
People who visit Disney are just pedophile enablers.
Cheaper amusement parks have become overrun with misbehavior and unruly "youths".
I'm glad that Busch Gardens still has animals, I'd wondered about that after it changed hands.
Yes, Walt Disney's dream was to create a park for ultra wealthy 'elites'... /s
The harsh irony here is sickening, and would cause Walt Disney, were he alive, to fire every one of these scuttlebuckets.
Now you have Disney parks becoming the playground for the Uber Rich, who denigrated them as gauche and plebian.
Forced? No one forced anyone to go.
Do Busch Gardens tix still include Sea World, too?
amazing the money people will spend for the illusion of happiness. I would not spend one penny at WDW ever again. My father took us there when it first opened and it was a fantastic place, but that was over 50 years ago.
Average family of 4 spends about $6 to 8000 for a week.
Nobody is forced to pay.
Part of the current Disney strategy is that they are in an environment of rising wage costs and shortages of employees. Smaller attendance means that fewer employees are needed, so raising prices makes quite a bit of sense — for now.
I never spent any money with them. It seemed like a ripoff. Now that I’m much older & much wiser, I doubt that I will ever spend anything at any Disney attractions as it’s no attraction at all now.
If I recall correctly, I recently read that ~60% to ~70% are adults without chidden under the age of 18. Peter Pan's.
