there were an awful lot of Arabs on the road yesterday between DC and Ohio. Figure they are having a goat orgy to celebrate.

Thank you so much for this tribute. My son-in-law was at the Pentagon on that terrible day, thankfully he survived, and as a USMC Captain, assisted in search and rescue, later became search and recovery. I have a friend whose Navy Intelligence son was killed, she still grieves him every day.

Two freepers were lost that day. One on the pentagon flight and one at the towers. I was talking to a friend in Sydney when the first tower was struck and their ABC broke in with the news. Another friend of mine worked at Merrill Lynch but missed work that day to look after his fiancé. I joined the live thread on FR as I often did in those days.

I’ve been to the Pentagon and also W’s presidential library which has a piece of one of the towers to pay my respects. I haven’t made it to New York.

I remember, sickened by the charnel house atmosphere of NYC and the constant reiteration of the news, I picked up the phone and called some Orthodox friends in suburban Baltimore, inviting myself to come down for the Sabbath. I had to get OUT of the miasma of horror and grief. So while I was speeding down 95 South toward Baltimore, I saw the Presidential car caravan heading north to NYC. No Arabs were anywhere in sight.

In the coming weeks, I was disgusted that the muzzlimes opened their mouths to protest people giving them the stink eye. Well what did you think was going to happen? You murder 3,000 innocent people (actually, far more when you count the first responders and the many many people who later succumbed to cancer from exposure to toxic substances released by the blast), you become lower than excrement in the eyes of any who behold you.

i will never forget the news with the Arab woman from New Jersey actually celebrating this atrocity
she should have been deported if she wasn’t a US citizen ( which we are not picky enough who gets to be a citizen here)

I remember the Environmental Protection Agency (perhaps it was the local NYC one, can’t recall) telling the public that there was no air quality problem afterward. So THAT is why I was coughing up solid chunks of yellow mucus for an entire year after 9/11. And I lived about 15 miles away from the site, in Brooklyn at the time. This coughing up mucus only stopped when they finally razed every bit of the destroyed towers-—like a switch turned off. That was one of my first experiences of the government lying through its filthy teeth. The schools in lower Manhattan had to put their students elsewhere until the schools could be cleaned up. There was an inches thick coating of dust all over the city.

M a r k H e m s c h o o t - 62 South Tower

My wife’s cousin.

We were at the towers just one year before that day. Today, I liken the memory to touring the Titanic before its departure.

One of my colleagues at the school where I taught lost her nephew. He worked for Morgan Stanley. The family did not receive info on his fate until later in the afternoon when they received a call from London. He was on the phone with a London Office when the first plane hit. They told the family there was a scream on the line and then it went dead. Ironically his brother was a state trooper and the family always feared for his safety.

thx. it is always the conservative who truly remembers liberty stolen, and the deceiving manner of the thieves who stole it.

the courage to remember is something the left hates. i think they in part feel that they can ignore causality by enforced forgetfulness.

https://www.thayerleadership.com/blog/2017/leadership-on-9-11-the-story-of-rick-rescorla-and-morgan-stanley

Rick Rescorla was the soldier used on the cover of the book “We Were Soldiers Once and Young”. He saved a lot of soldiers in Vietnam.

He later became head of security at Morgan Stanley in the twin towers. After the tuck bomb in the basement he got together with some ex-military friends soon after to figure out what the next attack would be like.

They all came up with the idea that it would be hijacking a large plane and crashing it into the buildings. So that’s what he planned for and trained the company employees to do. (Much to their complaints as he would practice dry runs and have them go down flights of stairs.)

He had them moving down the stairs right after the first plane hit, ignoring the shelter in place orders over the loud speakers.

IIRC everyone at Morgan Stanley evacuated in time. Rick was last seen heading up the stairs (after numerous other times up) to help others get out of the building.

After reading the article I see that 13 employees did die, but 2,700 lived!
