The population growth in the area is stunning—to me that is the big story that has made a bad situation much much worse.
I think the Satan controls the weather. Remember how helpful hurricane Sandy was to Obama in 2012?
Do they have Onstar? That is how we heard from family after Harvey.
My brother was looking to buy a house there. Not on the beach, but in a few blocks
Covid knocked prices down quite a lot, and he almost pulled the trigger, albeit for a sudden illness in his family which occupied his time and focus. The subsequent price spike late last year/early this year pushed prices up 50-70%, and supply almost completely disappeared, so he dropped the idea.
Well, it kind of leads me to the next point, with liberals wanting to control everything, there is no question in my mind, they will eventually want to dictate where people may live, in fact, I believe you will start hear them saying things like this as a result of this storm, you know, “Never let a crisis go to waste”.
As time passes we will see a lot more incredible video. Quite incredible.
The elephant in the room will be home insurance costs—and who pays—private or government.
If government subsidizes coastal development....then they own the problem.
It’s starting. I turned on Fox News for the first time in a couple of years. The first thing they talked about was climate change deniers. F* ‘em.
I guess this is going to make a perfect “emergency” to justify the RATs flooding the state with banana ballots before the election. FEMA will probably be handing out cases of already filled out “mail in” ballots to everyone. All they’ll have to do is take them down to a floating drop box. Two Thousand “Sea Horses” will be by to pick them up.
They’ll buy that all up for Margaritaville now😞
yes
OMG that’s horrible. Prayers for everyone affected.
I’m sure Yo Taco! Is gone 😞
No clue. Good idea, though.
I have family in Florida and I’ve been to Fort Meyers a few times. It was just beautiful and I loved it there. Sanibel was a fun place, watching alligator gar chase each other around under water.
It’s sad to see the mess. Perhaps the land will be cleansed. I hope.
Sadly point of impact is always the worst. My cousin in Tampa never lost power. Go figure.
One prediction showed the “eye” of the remnant(TD) passing a few miles from my house. Hopefully, they have pulled it west a little.
I recall visiting the Edison museum in Fort Meyer - I hope it didn’t get too hard.
I’ve visited there also. There was a great Cuban sandwich shop and few blocks away that was fantastic. Lots of memories and I hope all returns to normal as soon as possible.
