As I look at his numbers I can see where he's really lagging in the QB rating computation. His TD-INT ratio of 9-1 is great but throwing for only 9 TDs while leading the league with 340 pass attempts through eight games is awful. His 9 TDs and 340 pass attempts translate to about 19 TDs in 722 attempts for a 17-game season.
Just for comparison ... last year he led the NFL with both 43 TDs and 719 pass attempts.

I would normally agree with you, but this isn’t a normal case. The guy is an NFL quarterback who is still playing at the age of 45. The pressure to retire is almost certainly based on concerns about injuries with long-term consequences. If the family was worth $400 million and the wife had minimal earning potential, she’d still be telling him he’s a damn fool to go to work in a coal mine every day.
I thought the same thing, I’ve never thought she was attractive.
