Don’t cha know computers were secretly invented in Wakanda and smuglled by evil whites in black face.
He is the same as Samantha Foss, can’t wait to sellout his father to prove his woke credentials. The party eats this up.

I’d say Professor Philip Ewell is a racist for driving a car and using electricity.

I’d give him an F minor.
What if he doesn’t like Thelonious Monk. Different strokes for different folks, homey.

How about the white man’s invention of most musical and electronic instruments, and the chromatic scale? “African” music is almost exclusively played on European (or American) instruments today.

Keep this up and more white people will decide they no longer care what black agitators are upset by.

If you have no way of writing music, then you lose all history of it until someone (perhaps a white man) invents a way of recording the actual sound. Thus Africa only had the "now" of what is being played rather than a whole historical repertoire. It is hard to have a music history class without a written history. Even archaeology fails other than being able to dig up some old instruments. The music itself can't be recovered.

--- "“Philip Ewell is one of the most significant music theorists of his generation,” Dean Lynn Cooley told the campus paper. “A disciplinary leader in the academic field, he has also become a public intellectual whose critiques have sparked conversations throughout the international community of performers and consumers of Western classical music.”"
Sparking a conversation is now an accomplishment to these fools. Used to be, asking a question "sparked" a conversation.
I'll spark a conversation by calling this son of a Bach lover a complete and disloyal idiot.
But it becomes a tempest in a teapot, because rather recently some other musicologist asserted that Bach actually was part black, and another asserted that Anna Magdalena actually composed some of Bach's music. As the song lyric goes, "you gotta have a gimmick."
To: nickcarraway
Ewell is so good at identifying “whiteness” and “white supremacy” that he even saw it in his own father, who “believed deeply in the tenets of Communism,” the paper reported. Communism was started by a white guy, so yes siree, he is, indeed, a white supremacist.
