It grossed me out to wear a conservative suit and tie, but I noticed I could get a job and my income went up.
It's just weird, but what the heck...the money was good.;-)

I get the sh*ts when the “food service community” trots out the $2.13 minimum wage sad sack line. Federal law stipulates that if their tips and wages combined do not meet or exceed $7.25 then the employer is obligated to make up the difference. And I guarantee you the vast majority do not report all their cash tips (actually I have no problem with that).
A dear friend of mine did very well in tips for many years.
She was an all around people person and down to earth type.
I would take her over the over made up types of now.
Actually, WAY back in the day, they had an awesome grouper sandwich. Which is really why I went. This was 25+ years ago.

I agree. It is part looking good and part acting nice to the customers.
When she started wearing pigtails she started being less glum. After a few good tips she started being really being happy and that changed how she interacted with the customers.
“What the hell do want to order” changed to “Hi, how can I help you”.
Something like that.
Government doesn't understand society so they hate it.
I’m guessing she has had a fair amount of feminization through school and somehow considers mens interest in pigtails a sign of male dominance, sexualization of girls and chauvinism.
Yet why would pigtails be any more repressive than say a Tossed Lob?
Another guess I’d make is she loves rap music and oddly doesn’t see a problem with lyrics like:

So - she’s willing to do something she claims is disgusting for more money - I think a lot of prostitutes use that line...😎
That’s fine. She is maximizing her sexual assets and making money about it, which I am okay with.
Her being “grossed out” casts a different light on it though. It is more akin to prostitution than maximizing her sexual assets.
I always up my tip when my waitress wears pigtails. Doesn’t everybody? I’m surprised that people are suprised by this.

Last week we were shopping at an upscale furniture store, and one of the sales ladies had long, very blonde braids. We guessed she was about 60. She looked ridiculous — not serious.
We hoped she wouldn’t break out yodeling.
Katelyn Boss is a biased fool. Customers aren’t tipping her more because her pigtails have a sexual overtone; they’re tipping her more because she looks younger and they think she needs the money more.
If those men are pigs, then the women that work there are whores.
