U think Putin has a few surprises ready for Zelensky and the west. He may have some surprises ready for us too. Russians do not fight fare —they can be mean SOBs and they have allies who hate us like Iran. Putin could sneak a thousand Iranians in Over the border to shoot out the electrical grid or burn refineries, or blow up a few pipelines. They too know asymmetrical warfare. Imagine when Iran explodes a nuke?—even a small one?

You are so low information. You probably were not even born during JFK admin. We were all on edge about possibility of WWIII if Cuba did not back down.

This is your leader you adore:

just think of all the money and lives that could have been saved from the Iraq fiasco if we would have listened to guys like Ritter. But no, creeps from the CIA have us all fooled, what a bunch of zombies we are.

Uh, it wasn't Cuba that backed down, but Russia and Khrushchev.

You seem to be the one with low information.

Cuba was the place where missles were located, not USSR.
Cuba could have easily told US to KMA. There were no USSR navy ships near Cuba.

What does it matter who backed down? The whole point was US was not going tolerate enemy weapons near it’s borders. Your hero Zelensky was pushing for NATO membership for years before Russia invaded. Russia is not going to tolerate NATO weapons on it border. And the homo-erotic dancer Zelensky still has not backed down.

So who has suffered? The Ukrainians. The country is now a living hell.

The Cuban missile crisis was resolved when President Kennedy secretly agreed to remove Jupiter intermediate-range ballistic missiles from Turkey along with a pledge not to invade Cuba while Soviet Premier Khrushchev agreed to remove the missiles from Cuba.Oct 26, 2012

In a separate deal, which remained secret for more than twenty-five years, the United States also agreed to remove its nuclear missiles from Turkey. Although the Soviets removed their missiles from Cuba, they escalated the building of their military arsenal; the missile crisis was over, the arms race was not.

Did the USSR ships THREATEN the naval blockade by getting into theie face? Even a 6th grader knows the missles were tansported by ships.

Again you are missing the main point...Cuba/USSR whoever BACKED down. Zelensky/Biden/NATO have nor backed down. That is the MAIN POINT. Stop arguing liek a 6th grader.

“Your hero Zelensky was pushing for NATO membership for years before Russia invaded”

And it was consistently opposed by Germany and France.

In 2008 Ukraine and Georgia applied to join NATO and were rejected by Germany and France for fear of “provoking Russia”

6 weeks after that rejection, Putin invaded Georgia.

Putin invades non NATO neighbours

Uh, yeah, they actually did. The U.S. Navy depth charged one of the Soviet subs (which almost launched a nuclear torpedo at our fleet) and forced it to the surface.

60 years ago today, this man stopped the Cuban missile crisis from going nuclear

Again, you don't know what you're talking about.

Good to see Zelensky will soon either go in hiding or will be killed. I have no use for homo people.

He’s very obviously not homosexual. Though you seem to have a fascination with that guff.

And it’s been 11 months since Putin invaded Ukraine and Zelensky ain’t in hiding. Putin on the other hand is in hiding

You are wearing blinders. Ukraine is an un mitigated disaster. As the cold winter sets in, with lack of food, electricity, gasoline, and other essentials, Uke’s (who still remain there) will live through hell. There is no such disaster in Russia. If you think Zelensky is a wise leader, I question your IQ.
