I'd put money that the reason they sent it down the rabbit hole is that the pilot was female. The KC-135 pilots are mostly, if not all, reservists and some the ones I knew were...well, um...fun.
It's likely her crud name. (crud being a game played by service members on a modified pool table)
Her call sign and crud name may not refer to her breasts but are a derivative of her last name. I knew several pilots who had some pretty vulgar nicknames made from just changing one or two letters.
If he was vaxed, foul play is suspected by many.
