I’ve tried perhaps half or a little more, like about 1/4 quite well. Have an avocado in sight across the kitchen that I’ll be using for toast. Like sushi, have had poke bowls, works for me but don’t make them at home. Don’t think I’ve ever bought cold brew, but 4-5 years ago when Starbucks was getting into it in a big way, they had the guys they’d bought out at a hospitality tent at a sporting event we were at. I had several, it’s quite good, but not going to replace my espresso machine coffee.
There is nothing in the list I haven’t tried, that makes me think “I MUST try that.”
Hard no on anything that has that stupid green hippie girl logo on it.
I was so happy when the Starsucks closest to my house, which I drove past constantly, closed down and that stupid hippie girl sign disappeared.
I'm sure it tastes like the pile it looks like.
Reading the ingredients: Alkaline water, lemon juice.
Congratulations, you just neutralized the alkali.
Have tried about half, only liked ONE.
And green tea makes me quite unwell, so I avoid it.
I’m with them on the avacado toast. Very tasty and the seasoning can be as simple as just salt.
Quinoa is another good one. Unlike other grains it’s a complete protein. Quinoa cooked up with cheddar cheese is a nice comfort food like cheesy grits but with more protein and fewer carbs.
No quinoa for me. I’ll stick with my hominy grits or polenta if I must substitute.
Unless you take a lot of time with it, Quinoa doesn’t become smooth in texture, and should be called
“Gritty Pebbles”, unless someone would confuse it with the kid’s cereal called Fruity Pebbles.
My husband makes a simple quinoa vegetable soup that’s good. Quinoa has protein, so that’s why it’s better for you than rice.
I love avocado toast! A simple breakfast is a slice of toast, avocado, and a hard boiled egg.
I wasn’t a fan of rolled ice cream.
I like sparkling waters. I get tired of plain water, and I can’t drink caffeine after 3. I drink sparkling waters in the evenings
I don’t like going to brunch. My daughter goes almost every weekend. I prefer going out for dinner.
Cold Brew coffee is the bomb. I live in Florida, so it’s always summer.
Avocado Toast is pretty yummy.
Gourmet Donuts are good too, but it’s hard to pay six bucks for a donut.
This new black ice cream is black because it contains activated charcoal, not licorice:
Matcha has been around for like 1400 years.
The cup is the first problem.
Every generation thinks it has invented the world.
Poke: Just eeewwwe. When i lived in Hawaii people would bring it from their huts (not really) for lunch. I heard to go to another table.
Cauliflower rice. Never heard of it, but i’d like to try it. Do they sell it in stores? Rice section? Produce section?
(As I scrolled through the ads, I noticed One from Hillsdale College on CRT. Glad they’re advertising.)
I’m at 5 on that list. Don’t like cauliflower rice, tastes like dirt. But tue other 4 are good. And no to the unicorn thing, charcoal water, black ice cream, and rolled ice cream.
Poi. I lived in HI for three years and wouldn’t even taste poi.
You have not had my Mom’s Mac & cheese—makes living worthwhile.
When I worked in a psych unit I got to supervise a teenager who had od’d on Tylenol, (thinking it was a relatively safe way to get attention—oh, no,Miss; ‘fraid not) while she drank down 2 big glasses of activated charcoal and water. It cured her of attention-seeking behavior before we completed her admission process.
Heard of 5, ate 1 - food in a bowl from Panda Express...fried rice and orange chicken, but I don’t think Chinese food is that “millenial.”
