Why? Because we could.
To neutralize the threat.
Did he know that the robber had a fake weapon?
No.
And under the circumstances, his response was rather measured.
If baldy did fire another shot at the perp after neutralizing him and taking his gun he’s going to spend quite a bit of time behind bars.
Whoever asks a question like this knows absolutely nothing about firearms and results from firing a weapon...They think it’s just like a cowboy movie and one shot either shoots the gun out of the opponents hand or or the one shot puts them down and out...
Its what cops do. Sometimes they reload and shoot some more
So no stacked magazine?
So you are such a genius that you know from the video that the criminal was hit eight times and the location of each bullet and the caliber of the shooter’s gun. We are so olucky to have such as your ilk to teach us.
Because his hands kept moving. You can’t leave a half dead guy next to a gun that he clearly convinced everyone in the place was real. The robber said he was going to shoot everyone. Pointing a gone at someone is battery. You saw everyone pull out their money. They would not have done that if everyone did not think the threat was real. Bodies keep twitching. They don’t die right away. But the gun is right there. And by the way. When a guy comes in and tells everyone he is going to shoot them, you are in a high stress state. And that is a risk the robber took.
It seems to me that the last shot wasn’t necessary. But that’s in hindsight, watching a video from a safe distance. I’d have to give the guy the benefit of the doubt here. If he thought the robber was still a threat, he might have thought that last shot was necessary to end the risk. Suspicious maybe, but not beyond a reasonable doubt.
Pity stayed his hand. ‘It’s a pity I’ve run out of bullets,’ he thought.< /blatantly stolen from Bored of the Rings>
Maybe I am wrong but it looked like a cashier stand.to me.
There are times that when a Sheep Dog needs to act, he acts aggressively to the mind set of taking down a threat to the point of being sure the threat has been removed before he can go back to acting passively.
When he is finally found, his defense should be was the awakened Sheep Dog.
To make him DEAD.
“Excuse me, Mr. Robber, sir!? Is that a real gun you are brandishing? Or a toy gun? I need to decide quickly whether I’m going to shoot you.”
To prevent a repeat offender.
Reminds me of that time down in Florida a few years ago when some f*ck bag shot 2 deputies and a police dog. So they call in the SWAT team and they shoot this guy like 97 times. So at the news conference some snowflake reporter whines, “Why did they have to shoot him 97 times?” The Sheriff gives this broad the dagger stare and say, “Because that’s all the bullets they had”. Classic response. Applies in this case as well.
Because he didn’t have a longer magazine?
Don't ever assume a perp doesn't have a second weapon.
Why did that dindu have to steal so many wallets?
Each wallet stolen was armed robbery and can result in the death penalty on the street.
Sounds like the guy got off easy if he received fewer bullets than wallets.
