Don’t go to Mexico because you could lose your life, but anybody from Mexico, criminal or otherwise is more than welcome to come here, and murder you.

I go to Israel and elsewhere in the Middle East often. I feel safer there than I do in Mexico.

Don’t worry about visiting the cartels in Mexico — the U.S. is working to bring them to you!

I suppose some people are still too sanguine about the failed state of Mexico, and have to be told.

Going to college in the 60’s hardly anyone could go anywhere but home for Easter/Spring-Break. Uncle Sugar paying for tuition seems to have changed that.

There are certain neighborhoods in cities of border states that are just like Mexico you can go there and get the same thrill.

Same in the early 90's when I went...couldn't afford to go anywhere and it
was an excellent opportunity to catch up on all my engineering projects as
the labs were pretty much empty...

Have you noticed that nearly every home has bars on the windows and doors? If that alone doesn’t give one a clue I don’t know what would.

Michoacán, one of the states on the list is beautiful. Much of it resembles Switzerland. I’m glad I got to visit it in 1975, when it was relatively safe.

In the early and mid-sixties, local teenagers would head for the Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach, Calif. during Easter vacation. They called it “Bal Week.” But these were mostly high school-aged students. During Easter vacation, 1964, it rained most of the week, so we figured that instead of surfing and going on rides at the Balboa Fun Zone amusement park, the kids had to spend “Bal Week” sitting around and listening to Beatles records.
