Yes, Lupercalia is very ancient, but the blantantly, obviously false assertion that Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14) is Lupercalia (Feb. 15) is a deceit authored by the literal, actual organization known as the Church of Satan. Lupercalia has literally absolutely ZERO in common with Valentine’s Day, including the date. I’m quite sure you didn’t get your falsehoods DIRECTLY from the Church of Satan, but that’s who so easily fooled you.

The Cyrillic alphabet is named for St. Cyril, but it is thought that he actually invented the glagolitic alphabet (which continued in use in a few areas until fairly recently, mostly in present-day Croatia). The Cyrillic alphabet seems to have originated a little later. It’s largely an adaptation of the Greek alphabet to a Slavic language (whereas the glagolitic letters are very different and unlike either Greek or Latin letters).
