Sick how his family pimped him out for a string of shitty films so they could fatten the bank accounts before the golden goose was no longer able. Articles I read said he could barely function on the last few.
Then they act so full of love. Barf.

I can’t joke about this. It’s tempting fate and it is an ugly ugly condition that can tear apart families.

This is sad for Bruce and his family. It sounds like it is progressing at a fast pace. My grandmother died after having dementia for 7 years. It was hard on the family. My father tried everything to keep her out of a convalescent home. He lost the battle in the end. She passed away in the convalescent home. In the end she couldn't even swallow her own saliva. It was hard to watch her deteriorate like that.

I didn’t know the family was responsible for that, but you’re absolutely correct about his final spate of films. They’re getting thrown up on Prime/Netflix/Hulu as fast as they can. I’ve stopped watching his most recent films. He’s a zombie. Such a shame.

I have read that he was, like any good man, doing whatever it took to provide for his family. He was doing what any good father and husband would.

Same.
Key points
Frontotemporal dementia is a group of disorders characterized by the loss of nerve cells in the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain, which causes these lobes to shrink. The cause of FTD is unknown.
Symptoms typically first occur between the ages of 40 and 65 and can include changes in personality and behavior, progressive loss of speech and language skills, and sometimes physical symptoms such as tremors or spasms.
FTD tends to progress over time. Treatments can’t cure the disease, but some medicines and other treatments, such as speech therapy can sometimes help with symptoms. If you have FTD, you may eventually need full-time nursing care, or to stay in an assisted living facility or nursing home.

My wife and I recently ate lunch next to Bruce and two of his handlers in Santa Monica. Very sad sight indeed. Just glad there weren’t paparazzi to chronicle it that day.
