I remember reading the “revised edition” of Tom Sawyer as an eleven year old in the late sixties. But I got the genuine copy of Huck Finn a few years later. Night and day.
Wow. James Bond as short stories and Readers Digest Condensed Books. The world is going to he77 in a handbasket.
My stepfather would have sued them for this sacrilege.
Maybe Ians family should sue for plagiarism if they do that as they are taking his whole work, disecting it and making it essentially there own “new version mi us the author’s thoughts on certain subjects”. They are NOT creating a work that reflects what the writers said, but are rather bastardizing the work, and making it their own version that they have declared “safe” for the public.
Leave their works alone! If it offends someone, then ignore it.
Why burn books when you can ‘manipulate’ them? This is a trend that should be clipped in the bud.
I was watching a YouTube video hosted by a twentysomething female and when she heard, apparently for the first time, the expression “blue-eyed soul” her face immediately screwed up in that Uh oh way we e come to expect from snowflakes and the words “problematic sixties phrase” appeared at the bottom of the screen. Blue eyed soul. Geez. And it’s fast and automatic. Not a second lapsed between the words and her reaction. A little scary to see. These people are PROGRAMMED.
There are a number of torrents available for the Bond Book series. Preserve them while you can.
Nah. Fascists like to burn books not revise them.
Disaster in the making
Pussy Galore becomes pretty kitty
old books and CD’s of Bond movies.
I still have a full set of the novels in paperback format (I started reading them in high school). I also have several of them as ebooks. I wonder if the available ebook versions have already been stealth edited?
Still too patriarchal. Her new name should reflect her intelligence and freedom from men, not her physical attributes. Probably best to give her an African name since just being white makes her suspect.
Has anyone else noticed that You Tube and public buildings have been suddenly besieged with re-mastered versions of classic songs?
Re-mastered means that a band or an individual do not own the rights to their original hit song or album.
The original artists can record new versions of their old classic songs, but they cannot legally sound identical to the original recording.
Taylor Swift is currently in a years long dispute with her former manager over ownership of her first four or six albums.
The sound track in my two local grocery stores is now 100% re-mastered versions. Same issue with my You Tube play list. About 10% of the classic tunes on my play list have been replaced by new re-mastered versions.
100% of the re-mastered songs I have heard are clearly inferior to the original recordings.
I assume the re-mastered recordings cost less to play than the original classics.
Woke liberals are fascists.

Possible but unlikely as the torrents are a decade old. There are also book sites that have them and are dated in the early 2000s.
I’ve read most of the Bond novels over the years, but don’t currently own any. I guess I’ll have to start collecting the older editions. Not off Amazon, though; I just took a look and the prices are frightening. Is the word out among book dealers already?
What about Alotta Fagina.
I see a run on used book stores to gobble up old books while you still can get them.
Amazon will ban their sale like they did with old editions of Dr. Seuss.
GREAT question...a reallll journalist would ask
