Keep and an eye on your O2 level. If it drops into the low 90s I would seek medical attention. Stay hydrated and don’t sleep on your back. My 28 year old son is currently on his 6th day of his second bout. He turned the corner around day 4 or 5. He called an express med center a few days ago and they basically told nothing could be done unless he was at high risk.
I would avoid Paxlovid
Seems to result in a rebound of disease, with worse symptoms, in over half those who take it
Also do NOT take if any heart conditions or meds…bad side effects
Best antivirals: Ivermectin, zinc ( with quercetin if you wont use IVM)
Best antiflammatory defense from cytokine storm hyperimmune response to covid - benadryl, antiacid meds melatonin
Best defense from infection resulting from damage caused by inflammation-
Doxycycline
Immune system support - Vit D3 hammer dose, Vit C, NAC
See frontline doctors or Paul Marik website for protocols
Interesting study suggests nicotine gum helps restore taste and smell
I had it over Christmas. Sounds like the mild case I had. It started with a bad headache and muscle aches. I broke the fever a couple days later. Hardly any cough and my breathing was okay.
I guy I know who works in an ER and he said as long as you have no difficulty in breathing to just stay home, stay hydrated and do not panic.
I did that and I was fine. Do not take Paxlovid because it is a drug you do not need to get better.
I had it way back when it first hit, felt rough for few days but kept on going, you will either get over it or you won’t..
Clan MacGregor can kill anything, including brain cells and a virus.
If you can find a doc who will prescribe hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin (or both) and believes in early treatment, then do it. Dr Stella Immanuel of Houston I have heard gives telemedicine Appts. Trick will be to find a pharmacist who isn’t an a-hole and will fill the Rx.
Feel better.
it can take a turn for the worse 7-10 days in—if you get a massive headache that OTC meds won’t help, demand proper treatment, like steroids. don’t let them send you home to suffer. bring up the D-word....don’t discriminate against me for my own medical decision.
I was told by an ER nurse to stay out of the ER unless you cannot breathe or they will take you upstaris and give you things you do not need.
If your case is mild you do not need the hospital.
So far, I haven’t seen any posts about Paxlovid. Nastiest stuff in the whole world! It doesn’t taste bad when you first take it, but a half hour later, you get the worst metallic taste in your mouth, and it doesn’t go away until you take the next dose. So for 5 or 6 days all day long the taste will be the worst thing you experience.
I took it only because my kids were afraid and insisted. Even my doctor said he couldn’t order it for me unless we came up with something. I told him, well, a few years ago you told me my triglycerides were tending to be high, so to work on that (which I did). He said, let’s go with that, and he ordered it for me.
If I ever get CoVid again, I won’t be taking Paxlovid this time around. It’s possible it helped me, but I’m still not sure.
I have some friends who got CoVid and they have medications that are necessary. Paxlovid interacted with those, so they couldn’t take it. They are 15-20 years older than me, and were FINE without the Paxlovid. It did take them a week longer to get their energy back than it did for me. I was only sick for 2 days, and by the third, I was 70% better, 95% on day 4. Mind you, I’m in decent shape for my age, no comorbidities, and only one medication for restless legs. At any rate, for me and my husband, CoVid was not even as bad as a regular cold. He stayed in bed a couple of days. I never did.
Sleep on your stomach if you can. It helps with the breathing.
Zink, vitamins D and C. Stay very hydrated. It is a form of Influenza, we’ve had it around for a long time.
If I may ask, did you get a Covid-19 injection? If so, which one.
>I’m in my 60s and never received the jab. I felt lousy the first 24 hours but feel pretty good now. I live on aspirin to keep the fever down, my dry cough is breaking up, and I can breathe OK.
Treat like every other virus from here out (rest and drink plenty of fluids, etc.) and relax. For what it’s worth, I like to run the fever for viral episodes if I don’t have duties to handle and it doesn’t get crazy high.
Original flavor C19 was a bear, but by now while clearly different than a common cold it’s not (IMO) a big deal.
Zicam.
Vitamin D.
Vitamin C.
Plenty of clear water and hot lemon tea.
Vicks vaporub, applied directly or in a vaporizer, if you’re nose is stuffy.
Stay away from the hospital.
You are 100% right -— and what I was getting ready to post. Repeating for the benefit of everyone:
“If you don’t already have one, buy a pulse oximeter. You should monitor your oxygen saturation level multiple times per day. If your oxygen level drops below 90%, you should seek medical care.
You should also monitor your heart rate.”
> Stay away from the hospital.
