“We have to respect the laws of physics as we know them,”................
As WE KNOW THEM is the problem...................
At some point one hand is going to talk to the other.
Heavy sigh.
NDAs...
“Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick”
It is often said that in this modern age we do not have a lot of heroes.
This is the guy who has the potential to be one.
All he needs is a strong dose of courage.
‘You can’t just say it’s new physics because [you] have incomplete data.’
Yes, essentially they are making a supernatural argument without admitting that is what they are doing. In order to claim something is attributable to a new physical law or phenomena, you would have to actually propose what that law or phenomena is, explain its mechanism, write the equations that describe it, and propose some experiments that might either verify it or rule it out. Otherwise, you might as well say it’s fairy dust.
You, what?
Lowercase ‘i’ is the mathematical representation for an ‘imaginary number’..................
Well, how do you like that? You learn something new every day. (chuckle)
"The burden of proof is on you," Loeb says. You can't just say it's new physics because [you] have incomplete data."
Y'know how he knows your data is incomplete? Because HE can't make the physics work.
Aristotle (384–322 BC) attributed ALL meteorite falls to A) the wind, B) stupid observers, C) hoax. His lock on permitted data continued until about 230 years ago. Sound familiar? Hey, at least he got his name in the papers.
The truth is out there.
90 degree right angle turns at 1000 mph is no problem for modern physics.
You may recall when scientists at Kyiv's Main Astronomical Observatory (MAO) spotted what they thought were UFOs over Ukraine. Avi was adamant that it was artillary without even looking at the evidence. His reason: It's impossible for a craft to fly at such speeds without a heat signature.
Obviously Avi forgot about the tic-tacs seen by Cmdr David Fravor and the crews of the USS Nimitz and Princeton.
Avi basically insulted Kyiv's Main Astronomical Observatory before a peer review of his conclusions.
Twitter noticed and teased Avi mercilously. Guess he still hasn't learned his lesson.
As an aside, the reason the Galileo Project is looking for UFOs in space is because...that's what astronomers do. They look into outer space.
It never occurred to Avi that maybe that's not where the UFOs are.
I'm glad Avi's not a plumber. If he were, he would be probably looking for UFOs in toilets.;-)
We have to respect the laws of physics as we know them,” Loeb told The Debrief. “We can’t just say forget about it, whatever my imagination allows me is possible. That’s not a valid approach.”

That is what ‘scientist’ do all of the time. Make shit up as it pleases them and them look for proof. This gives us stuff like string theory, multi universes as in uni (?), String theory, and dark matter.
