In poorer societies people rely upon their children to provide for themselves in their old age. If it is more likely that their children survive to adulthood (low childhood death rates), then parents have fewer children. This is fairly elementry stuff.

That is absurd because you’re trying to compare the lethality of the very lethal alpha variant with the omicron variant which is much less lethal.

A true conservative would understand that the executive branch which includes the NIH has no power to compel or to exempt the members of Congress from any actions. It’s called separation of powers.
